Episode 2b: Meet the Crooks

In Meet the Crooks - Part 2 we dive into what your why is and does it come from a healthy place. This segue‘s nicely into a discussion around living out of your own expectations instead of others, and how it‘s better to disappoint others than to ever abandon and disappoint yourself. We should not have to bend, stretch, or shrink ourselves to fit into other’s boxes in order to receive acceptance & love.

We talk about how it’s very difficult and probably impossible to have healthy relationships with others without a healthy relationship with yourself, and the importance of accepting all the layered aspects of ourselves because all of our experiences and how we learn to cope and respond to them make us who we are, not just the easy and fun stuff. We also talk about how emotions can coexist, and that we can make decisions that are healthiest for us, but still may disappoint others, and that does not make us bad. We’re never going to please everyone, and that should not be our goal.

We will then wrap up the episode with a rapid fire themed around activities that fulfill us and ways we’re hoping to feel over the next 6 months as we continue to aim for living out our best, healthiest versions of ourselves.
