Marissa
Marissa Chabai, Director of Integrative Health and Lead Therapist at BLND, a holistic mental health and wellness company. Marissa has been a registered nurse of over 13 years and a mental health counselor for almost 3 years. The foundation to her work is an integrative model in which she conceptualizes client needs from a holistic lens including psychological and emotional wellness, physical health, self-care, trauma, and nervous system/somatic work.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is known as Major Depressive Disorder with seasonal pattern in the DSM-5. Onset of depressive symptoms is directly correlated with a particular time of year and full remission occurs at a certain, separate time of year. No nonseasonal major depressive symptoms occur outside of that time.

In May of 2021 I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in English/professional writing and a minor in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. I’ve had a passion for writing ever since middle school when my eighth grade teacher inspired me to get creative with my writing and encouraged me throughout my high school years. I currently write the blog posts for the F.E.E.L podcast and covering the topics we do on this podcast is one of my favorite things; I’m proud to do work that I actually believe in and am excited to create. In my free time I love to read, watch movies, paint, and spend time with friends and family.
