Episode 10: Weaponized Gratitude - What is it and When Does it Appear?

Abby Bekele

Abby is originally from Philadelphia, Pa and got her Bachelor of Arts from Guilford College and has her Master of Arts in Interactive Media from Elon University. She is a creator, content producer and Media Strategist who loves to create all kinds of content. She is currently working at Ignite Social Media as a content producer and is based out of Raleigh, NC and also the creator of Embody The Melanin (https://www.embodythemelanin.com/) a social media campaign that discusses the struggles Black Female Athletes face while attending Predominantly White Institutions. She created this campaign based on her own experiences playing soccer and lacrosse from a very young age and experiencing sometimes being the only person of color on the team and sometimes on the entire field.

She wants to lead by example and carve a sense of belonging in creative spaces for other young Black girls that want to pursue marketing and work in creative fields. Jessica Garrison

In May of 2021 I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in English/professional writing and a minor in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. I’ve had a passion for writing ever since middle school when my eighth grade teacher inspired me to get creative with my writing and encouraged me throughout my high school years. I currently write featured blog posts for the F.E.E.L podcast and covering the topics we do on this podcast is one of my favorite things; I’m proud to do work that I actually believe in and am excited to create. In my free time I love to read, watch movies, paint, and spend time with friends and family.

Charlotte Feehan

I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I just graduated from Adelphi University this spring, with my Bachelor’s Degree in communications, with a concentration in digital production. I am now attending summer courses at Adelphi, and working to receive my Masters Degree in Childhood Education!

I have experience in a variety of creative fields including filmmaking, photography, podcast editing, and graphic design. I specialize in content creation for social media. I am currently the social media specialist for the F.E.E.L. Podcast, as well as the social media specialist and associate editor of These Ghosts Must Be Heard, a podcast that sheds light on the opioid epidemic.

Some of my favorite things to do in my free time include watching movies, taking road trips, going to concerts, photography, and spending time with my friends, family, and twin sister (who also happens to be my best friend).
